This is posted elsewhere, but I figured I'd put it up again anyways. I'll do a third version of this one day, and that one will manage to accurately depict a metro escalator.
I'm spending all my free time working on my portfolios right now, so this'll be it for a while.
I began this page working only from black and white photographs from the events, which left a lot to be desired. Also, I had no idea what the internal ministry's yellow APC would look like. After about an hour of searching over russian military blogs, I found a picture of the above APC with sound system from a military exercise earlier this year.
Then I watched this video, and gave up. Not only was the APC a simpler, less awesome machine (then the one I had found), but the amount of troops at the Hotel Mir was significantly more than the three policemen I drew. So this is about as much as I'll be doing on this comic.
So here we are, at the relaunch of the project site! Resurrected from the dead and ready to rock! These are the introductory comics/illustrations for the project, and I'll post the rest as soon as they're done.
